Malkangiri: Three more bodies of victims who had gone missing in Balimela Dam following a boat capsize on Friday was recovered yesterday taking the death toll in the mishap to four.
The deceased have been identified as Mangala Golori, Deepali Golori and Santa Sisa.
Bodies of all the victims identified as residents of Totaguda panchayat under Chitrakonda police limits were seen floating in the dam in the evening by the rescue team and fished out of water.
On Saturday, a boat carrying Mangala Galari, his wife Sanadei and daughter Dipali along with another Santa Sisa were en-route to Totaguda from Nakamamuduru when overturned midwater in the Balimela dam. While all four boarding the boat drowned in the water, Sanadei’s body was recovered the same day.
Fire brigade personnel took two days to recover the bodies of rest two from the waterbody.
