Jharsuguda/Ganjam: A youth has been killed in a road accident near Bhavarkhol junction at Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda. Reportedly, a trailer vehicle hit a tempo from behind in which three others have also sustained injuries.
The locals immediately informed to the local police following which the body recovered and the three injured were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. The cops have also launched an investigation, informed Brajrajnagar SDPO Dilip Das.
On the other hand, the locals have blocked the National Highway 6 protesting against the accident. The identity of the deceased and cause behind the accident is yet to be ascertained.
Similarly in another road accident, two youths have been killed that occurred at near Kabisuryanagar in Ganjam this morning. The deceased have been identified to be natives of Shikharpur Sahi in Kabisuryanagar.
According to the locals, both of them went to a nearby shop for tea while they met with the accident. On getting the information from locals who witnessed the mishap, Kabisuryanagar police arrived at the spot and recovered the bodies.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the real cause behind this mishap, informed Kabisuryanagar police officer Prabhat Kumar Sahu.
