Angul: In yet another unfortunate incident, 3 person were killed when the scooter they were seated on was hit by a speeding truck from behind. The mishap occurred near Angul’s PTC square on Wednesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Dipak Nayak, Kalia Nayak and Dilip Nayak. All the three hail from Turanga village of Angul district.
According to reports, the trio were returning home after watching a play when their scooter was hit by the truck. While two were killed on the spot, the third succumbed to injuries at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The bodies of the deceased persons have been sent for autopsy. Further probe into the matter is underway.
