3 kg leopard skin seized in Balangir district of Odisha, 1 detained

Balangir: A leopard skin has been seized by the forest officials from Kansar village under Saintala range in Balangir district of Odisha and detained one person in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off, the forest officials conducted raid at a house in Kansar village, disguised themselves as bank employees.

Although the owner was not present at the house, but the officials suspected the person, who opened the door, to be the dealer and detained him.

The team seized a leopard skin of 2.5 feet long weighing about 3 kg from the spot.

The officials further initiated a probe into the matter.
