Parlakhemundi: As many as three jail inmates have tested positive for the deadly Covid-19 virus in the Paralakhemundi sub-jail situated in Gajapati district of Odisha.
According to reports, the prisoners have been kept in isolation in three different prison cells.
It is noteworthy that Odisha has seen a remarkable rise in Covid positives in the past week. The total Covid affected persons has risen up to 3,49,561.
Keeping in view the rising cases the Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services was forced to switch back to its previous Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to prevent the occurrence and spread of Covid infection inside jails across the State.
