3 interstate ganja smugglers arrested from Titlagarh railway station

Balangir: The Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested three ganja smugglers at Titlagarh railway station in Odisha’s Balangir railway station.

The accused have been identified as Jogendra Kuldeep of Koraput district in Odisha, Dillip Mandal and Rupesh Kumar of Bihar.

According to reports, the GRP officials found suspicious movement of three accused at the railway station on Sunday evening and subsequently intercepted them.

Later, the officials searched the baggage of the accused and recovered 39 kg of ganja from their possession. During investigation, the accused confessed that they were planning to board a train and transport the contraband in the neighbouring state, Chhattisgarh, officials said.

A case has been lodged under NDPS  Act  in this connection and the arrested person will be produced in the court today, officials added.
