3 injured, 2 critical after car smacks into stationary dumper

Bhadrak: At least five persons were injured and two among them turned critical after a car dashed against a stationary dumper on Bhadrak-Chandbali Road near Kheranga in the district on Friday.

The mishap took place very early in the morning while the victims were heading to Cuttack boarding a Tata Indigo car (Registration No. OR 02 BN 4429). The driver of the car failed to spot a stationary dumper (Registration No. AP 29 TB 5525) standing near Kheranga Bazaar presumably due to dense fog and ended up smacking into it from rear. The impact of the collision between the two vehicles was so serious that the car got completely mangled from the front leaving all five boarding it injured on the spot.

All the injured were rushed to Tihidi CHC by some locals following the accident and two among them were later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack due to deteriorating condition.

While all the injured are from Keonjhar district their names have not been identified yet.

Tihidi Police have reached the spot and seized both the vehicles.
