3 hurt in wild boar attack in Dhenkanal village

Kamakhyanagar: In yet another case of man animal conflict over dwelling place in the state, at least three persons sustained critical injuries and rushed to hospital in Baghabasa village under Kankadahad police limits today.

The injured have been identified as Naba Pradhan, Sribatsa Pradhan and Bimal Pradhan.

As per the report, the trio visited their farmland located near the village to work early in the morning during which the predator attack took place. The wild boar which had sneaked into the village last night and was present inside a bushy area near the farmland pounced on the victims and started attacking before leaving the spot.

Some locals rescued the victims from the farmland in critical condition later in the morning and rushed to Kamakhyanagar Medical in a 108 ambulance, where they are currently under treatment.

Forest officials have reached the village to take stock of the situation.
