3 CRPF jawans martyred in Maoist ambush in Odisha

Nuapada: At least three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were martyred in a Maoist ambush at Patadhara reserve forest under Boden block of Odisha’s Nuapada district today.

According to sources, the Maoist opened fire at the CRPF jawans while the security personnel was in a transit from one camp to another.

The deceased security forces have been identified as ASIs Sishupal Singh, Sib Lal, and constable Dharmendra Kumar.

Apart from the death of three jawans, seven others were also injured in the attack. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Following the attack, a search operation by the security forces to trace the red rebels has been started.

Meanwhile, DPG Sunil Kumar Bansal expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. He stated that operations would continue in the area to track down the Maoist and the supreme sacrifice of the Martyrs would not go in vain.
