Nabarangpur: At least 3 police personnel were killed while 14 others were injured after the vehicle on which they were traveling met with an accident in Nabarangpur district of Odisha.
According to reports, the road mishap took place near Sorispadar under Papadahandi police limits of the district while the police team was going for Odisha panchayat poll duty, said sources.
The vehicle was going to Kosamuguda from Nabarangpur for the third phase voting of the panchayat election, which is slated to be held on February 20, added the sources.
On being informed, the local police with the help of the villagers carried out the rescue operation.
The injured persons have been admitted at Papadahandi and Nabarangpur hospitals.
