Gajapati: The Gajapati district administration sealed three cinema halls today for not adhering to the Covid norms.
The district administration conducted a raid at Jai Maa cinema hall, Laxmi cinema hall and one other in Paralakhemundi. Later they sealed the cinema halls as Covid guidelines were violated by the general public.
The three halls had not strictly implemented the mask protocol and social distancing rules for the audience.
The district authorities have taken an initiative to create public awareness in order to follow the Covid guidelines by intensifying the Covid and helmet drive.
The fine amount has been increased to Rs 2000 for the people violating Covid rules during the first and second time whereas fine of Rs 5,000 will be imposed for the subsequent violations.
