3 arrested for killing, selling of wild boar meat in Odisha

Jharsuguda: Three people have been arrested for killing and selling of wild boar meat in Jharsuguda district, informed Belpahar Forest Officer Subash Chandra Mohapatra. The arrested people have been identified as Sushil Bhoi, Chandrashekhar Kalo and Janardhan Bhoi of Lakhanpur area in the district.

Reportedly, they were laying electrical traps to catch boars following which they kill the wild animals.

On the basis of a reliable information, the local cops have arrested the hunters red handed while they were selling the meat of wild boars at Kandheikela village.

Thereafter, all of them were arrested from the spot and an investigation has been initiated into the matter. The cops have begun a manhunt in order to arrest other people who are involved in such activities.
