Bhubaneswar: As many as 215 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area of Odisha in last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
Among the fresh Covid cases, 65 persons have acquired the infection through local contact while 150 persons are from quarantine cases.
With this , the total number of Covid-19 cases in the state capital city has increased to 2365.
“Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts & nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised & will be under active surveillance, BMC officials said.
According to the State Health Department as many as 1215 persons tested positive for Covid-19 on July 27.
While 753 cases were detected from quarantine centres, local contacts were 462, it said.
