Baripada: As many as 21 jail inmates Under Trial Prisoners (UTPs) in Udala sub-jail in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha have tested Covid positive.
The authorities of jail have sanitized the entire prison premises today, i.e. on Monday.
The swab samples of 76 prisoners were sent for Covid testing out of which, 21 were tested positive informed the jailor.
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) has started treatment of the infected. Those who require medical observation will be shifted to the Covid hospital, said reports.
