2019 Election: Know constituency-wise schedule for Lok Sabha election in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India on Sunday announced the dates of the Lok Sabha elections to be held across the country in seven phases from 11th April to 19th May, 2019.

In Odisha, the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections will be held simultaneously in four phases as per the announcement of the Election Commission of India. Here are the details:

  • Notification for the first phase election will be issued on March 18 and voting will be held on April 11 for 4 LS Constituencies – Kalahandi, Navarangapur, Koraput & Berhampur and 28 Assembly constituencies:
  • Notification for the second phase election will be issued on March 19 and the polling will be held on April 18 for 5 LS constituencies – Bargarh, Sundargarh, Bolangir, Kandhamal & Aska and 35 Assembly constituencies:
  • Notification for the third phase election will be issued on March 28 and the polling will be held on April 23 for 6 LS constituencies – Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri and Bhubaneswar and 42 Assembly constituencies:
  • Notification for the fourth and the final phase election will be out on April 2 and the voting will be held on April 29 for 6 LS constituencies – Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada & Jagatsinghpur and 42 Assembly constituencies:

Counting of the votes will be done on May 23 which will be followed by the announcement of the results.
