Dhenkanal: In a sad incident at least two youths were killed in lightning Chakapala village in Kamakhyanagar area on Thursday.
The deceased persons have been identified as 28 year old Prakash Padhan of Chakapala and 30 year old Debadutta Padhan of Makuakateni village.
As per reports, the two youths had gone to the nearby forest to collect cashew nuts. In the meanwhile it started raining and lightning stroke them.
The locals then rushed them to the Kamakhyanagar Hospital. However, the doctor there declared them dead.
A pall of gloom has descended the area following the death of the two youths.
