Rourkela: In a shocking incident, two women from Deogaon area under Talasara Tehsil have alleged inhumane torture in the hands of their Saudi employer after being sent there by a local job consultant promising of a high paid job.

The victims, identified as Basanti Bindhani and Sarojini Mallick, lodged a complaint at Raghunathpalli Police Station with the help of a local social activist this afternoon and demanded action against the accused consultant.

As per the complaint lodged by the women, the accused Biswajeet Mallick established a contact with them around 8 months ago through his sister Pinki. Biswajeet, who runs a job consultancy firm promised them gardener jobs in Dubai, Saudi Arabia with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 at that time.

However, after completing all formalities to move Saudi Arabia and reaching there with the help of Mallick, they were found cheated. Instead of getting engaged as gardeners, the employer made them to work as toilet cleaners in Dubai and did not pay a penny for eight months.

When they complained all hell broke loose on them by knowing that they had been sold out with a price of Rs 10 lakh. Making the situation even tougher later, the employer administered electric shock on them, stripping them off.

However after repeated requests to send them back the employer released them recently, said the complainants.
