2 prawn traders critical in bomb hurling in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: At least two prawn traders sustained critical injuries after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs targeting them at Balikuri Chhak near Orasahi village under Chandbali police limits last night.

The injured duo has been identified as Bidyadhar Samal and Sudarshan Sethi of Jogipokhari village.

As per the report, the traders were standing near their prawn gheri located near Dhamra-Chandbali road to supervise work late last night when the attack took place. At least three bike-borne attackers approached them and hurled three country made bombs.

Bidyadhar and Sudarshan sustained critical injuries on the bomb hurling and were rushed to Chandbali Community Health Centre (CHC) by some locals following the attack. They were later shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack due to deteriorating condition.

Police have started an investigation into the incident and efforts are on to find out the cause behind the attack.
