Soro: At least two youths were killed after the bike they were travelling in met with an accident on Balikhanda-Markona road under Simulia police limits in Balasore district last night.
The deceased have been identified as Sani Biswakarma (17) and Jagannath Singh (18) of Simulia area.
The deceased duo, who studied in +2 classes, had been to watch a cultural programme in a nearby village and returning home at around 4 am when the rider lost balance while crossing humps causing the bike to crash.
While one of the victims sustained grievous injuries after falling on the road the other slipped into a roadside pond.
Though some bystanders rushed the duo in critical condition to Simulia medical they succumbed there under treatment.
