Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, two minor girl students died after consuming food at their teacher’s residence at Damahuda village under Patana police limits in Keonjhar district on Saturday.
As per reports, the students of the Saraswati Sishu Mandir were rushed to Karanjia hospital after they complained of stomach ache soon after taking food at the residence of their teacher, identified as Gajanan Mohanty, last night. However, the doctor declared one of the girls brought dead.
The other minor girl died today while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Patana police arrived on the spot after getting information and detained Mohanty, along with the house owner. Investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind the death of the duo.
The bodies of the two minor girls have been sent for postmortem.
The deceased girls and 12 other students of the school were staying at the residence of the teacher.
