Cuttack: In an unfortunate incident on Thursday afternoon, two labourers died while another is said to be critical due to asphyxiation while cleaning a manhole in CDA area of Cuttack.
According to reports, the trio was cleaning the sewage manhole when they were asphyxiated.
They were immediately rushed to the hospital by the locals.
While two were declared brought dead, the condition of one of them is said to be critical.
Later, the police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
“A joint enquiry by Tahasildar Cuttack and Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is ordered to enquire in to the incident in which Two workers died after being trapped inside a sewerage line at CDA Sector-10 in Cuttack city Today ” Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development.
