Balasore: In an unfortunate incident, two persons have died and four others have been injured in a road accident on NH 16 near Dandakali temple under Khandapada police limits in Balasore district on Saturday.
Reportedly, the ambulance was carrying a patient to Cuttack from West Bengal. The driver of the ambulance was parked in front of a hotel to have food when the vehicle was hit by a container truck.
As a result, two people including the driver lost their lives on the spot while four others sustained critical injuries.
On getting the information, Khantapada police arrived at the spot and managed the traffic on the road.
An investigation has been initiated into the matter. The identities of the remaining persons are yet to be ascertained.
