Malkangiri: Police and Maoists were engaged in a fierce crossfire in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh which shares its border with Odisha’s Malkangiri.
A woman maoist died and two jawans got injured in the crossfire.
After getting information about maoist camps, Chhattisgarh police went to forests nearby Narayanpur. A crossfire happened between Police and Maoist killing a woman maoist.
An IED blast during the crossfire left two jawans injured. While one of jawan is a distressed reserve guard, the other belonged to the Chhattisgarh armed forces.
The Police recovered Ammunitions and explosives from the maoist camp, after the crossfire.
