2 Jawans Including ITBP Killed, One Injured On Chattisgarh-Odisha Border

Malkangiri/Chattisgarh: Two personnel killed including a jawan of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force were killed and one injured in two separate incidents of Maoist attack in Narayanpur district of Chattisgarh near Malkangiri border.

The first incident took place at Sonpur area where a team of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) of 53 Battalion was returning from demining duty when the directional pipe IED blast took place killing both the ITBP Jawan on the spot.

In Another incident a constable of District Reserve Guard (DRG) died in an IED attack and one injured.

The deceased jawans identified as ITBP Constable L Balachandra and District Reserve Guards (DRG) Jawan Kaner Usendi.

One injured DRG jawan Bankeshwar Paikra has been air-lifted to Raipur for immediate medical attention.
