Khordha: Taking prompt action in the murder of Nirakarpur lady school teacher Anjali Dehury which took place on Friday, Khurda Police took two persons into custody today.
Balugaon police arrested the duo conducting a raid in Nirakarpur where the victim resided in a rented house and worked in Tangi Ugratara Primary School. The arrested includes the son of her house owner and his aide.
While police are yet to disclose the exact reason behind the killing, locals are suspecting it to be fallout of one-sided love as the family members of the victim had fixed her marriage somewhere recently.
Anjali, a resident of Kantabada village under Begunia was cudgelled to death in an agricultural field by miscreants midway between her home and the school last night. Her disfigured body was recovered by some locals later in the night.
Khordha Police have handed over the case to Balugaon Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO). The scientific team along with a dog squad has recovered a bamboo stick from the spot reaching the village.
