2 from West Bengal drown in sea in Odisha’s Puri, 1 body recovered, other missing

Puri: In a tragic incident at least two persons reportedly drowned in the sea in Odisha’s Puri when they were taking bath on Tuesday. Both the victims are said to be from West Bengal. While the rescue operation is underway, one body has been found and the other person is missing.

The deceased has been identified as 16 year old Anupam Mandal and the missing person is Sanju Bhattacharya. Both of them are from West Bengal.

As per reports, Sanju was taking bath in the Sea in front of Pink House in the Chakratirtha road in Puri when somehow she slipped into the deep sea. After knowing about it the local life guards and Fire fighters have initiated a rescue operation to trace out the lady.

Similarly, Anupam was taking bath in the sea in front of Hotel Kamelia when he slipped into the deep water. Later his dead body was fished out from the sea water.
