Berhampur: At least four fishermen sustained injuries after two boats had a collision off Gopalpur coast in Ganjam district on Sunday.
The incident took place early this morning while the fishermen-laden boats were en-route to fishing and lost track due to dense fog. After the mishap both the boats sunk in the mid-sea around 500 meters away from the bank.
Around 18 fishermen who were boarding the boats swam ashore to save their lives.
A boat got completely damaged in the crash and fishing equipments worth lakhs were lost, says the report.
