Nayagarh: At least two persons were electrocuted to death while carrying out carpentry works in Balisahi village of Narajipara area under Tumandi panchayat in Nayagarh district today.
The deceased has been identified as Bhakta Jani (45) and his relative Nakul Jani (41).
As per the report, Bhakta was using a push planer machine to prepare a wooden footstool this morning on the terrace of his house this morning. Nakul was assisting him in the carpentry when the duo suddenly got electric shock after unknowingly touching the electric wire.
While family members rushed the duo to Daspalla Hospital, they succumbed there under treatment.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death in the incident and rushed the bodies for autopsy.
