Jeypore: In an unfortunate incident, two persons died after a wedding party bus came in contact with a live electric wire near Polakaputa under Jeypore Sadar police limits in Koraput district of the state on Saturday.
According to reports, the ill-fated bus came in contact with the electric wire this afternoon while the vehicle (AP 31 TU 3769) was on its way to Nuaput from Koraput to pick-up the groom’s guests. The bus soon caught fire leading to the death of the driver and conductor of the vehicle. They died on the spot.
While the deceased helper of the vehicle has been identified as Dambaru, the identity of the conductor is yet to be known.
Jeypore Sadar police began an investigation into the matter after getting information about it. The bodies have been sent the district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
