Balasore: At least two persons were killed after the bike they were riding on, fell off the Paganai bridge under Chandipur police limits here and plunged into the water last night.
The deceased have been identified as Chitta Ranjan Bera of Sonapur and his brother-in-law Sudarshan Hembram of Vyasanagar.
The deceased duo was returning to Paganai from Sonapur after completing some pending work when the mishap took place. It is feared that the rider of the bike lost control over the wheels due to some reason causing it to hit the sidewall of the bridge and plunging into the river.
Some locals spotted the floating bodies of the victim duo in the river this morning and collected those to hand over to police.
Chandipur Police has rushed the deceased to Balasore DHH and lodged a case of unnatural death in the incident.
