Sundergarh: At least two persons were killed and another sustained critical injury after two bikes collided head-on near Sagadiaposh village on NH 143 in the district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Heren Munda of Sanarakshi village and Sanjay Pradhan of Ghusuriposh village. The injured Gagan Singh also happens to be a resident of Sanarakshi village.
The mishap took place while Heren was returning to village riding his bike with Gagan on the pillion seat, early this morning. While taking a turn at Sagadiaposh Square on NH 143 his bike was struck from the front by another bike rode by Sanjay leading to Heren’s death on the spot.
Sanjay succumbed at the Lahunipada CHC after being rushed there along with Gagan by some locals.
While Gagan still remains critical at the hospital, police have reached the spot and seized both the vehicles.
