2-Day Disaster Management Workshop In Bhubaneswar From Today

Bhubaneswar: A two day disaster management workshop is slated to start in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from today.  Participants from various states are expected to be a part of this workshop.

Training and discussions shall be held with participants from Bihar, Jaharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.

The Chief Secretary of the Government of Odisha, Asit Tripathy is expected to inaugurate the program.

The workshop  will mainly focus on how newer knowledge base and scientific equipment can be used for protection of property during disasters.

Other than that, the methods used by other states for safety of dams during floods shall be discussed in details.
