Keonjhar: Launching a crackdown against bike looters’ gang in the district, police today arrested at least two persons by launching a raid in Dumuriguda area under Turumunga area here.
The held accused duo has been identified as Balabhadra Gop (22) and Chandan Patra (23).
The raid was conducted by Turumunga Police based on a complaint filed by one Manoj Prusty of Panta block.
As per the complaint, the held looters tried to intercept Prusty en-route to home by dashing their bike against his motorcycle last night. After the victim fall off his bike the looters made a failed attempt to snatch it.
Turumunga Police recovered the bike from the spot later in the night after the victim lodged a complaint in connection with the case.
After launching a probe into the case police nabbed the accused duo from their homes in Dumuriguda area this morning and forwarded to court.
