+2 admission in Odisha higher secondary schools begins today

Bhubaneswar: The Plus II admission process in all higher secondary schools across the State is starting today post the publishing of 1st merit list by the Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHE) yesterday.

Those students whose name appeared in the selection list will start taking admission from July 3 and the process will continue till July 6. Out of total 3,75,958 students who had applied for admission Plus II admission this year 3,33,573 of them have been selected in the 1st phase.

Based on the seats left after the first phase admission, the second merit list will be released on July 12, 2019.

Admission of selected candidates under the second phase selection list will be conducted July 12 to July 16. The left over seats will then be filled-up through spot admission.

Notably, as many as 4,06,177 students have registered on SAMS Odisha for admission to the +2 courses in more than 16000 junior colleges in the State. Of these, 3,75,961 had applied online and about 3.66 lakh had paid the fees.
