2 abandoned babies rescued in separate incidents in Odisha

Jajpur/Ganjam: After a few days of lull, baby dumping cases surfaced in Odisha on Tuesday again with recovery of two infants-one boy and one girl-in separate incidents in Jajpur and Ganjam districts.

In the first incident, some locals spotted a new-born baby girl dumped near a bush in Salepur village under Dharmashala block in Jajpur district and informed Childline officials. The baby was admitted to a nearby hospital immediately after rescue and her condition is stated to be stable.

In a similar incident, some locals found a baby boy abandoned near a bush in Sorada village under Buguda police limits later in the morning. They admitted baby in Bellaguntha government hospital.

After primary health check-up one Kailash Rana of the village has adopted the baby.
