1st Coronavirus Patient Confirmed In Odisha, Under Treatment In Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: 1st coronavirus patient has been identified and confirmed in Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

The specially appointed spokesperson, Subroto Bagchi has confirmed  that this is the 1st case in the state of Odisha.

The youth had returned to Odisha from Italy and was tested positive for the deadly virus in Bhubaneswar.

The 31 yr old youth has been infected with COVID-19.

He is currently undergoing treatment at the Capital Hospital and said to be stable.

The youth is a resident of Bhubaneswar.

He had recently returned from Italy and was under quarantine in New Delhi.

He showed no symptoms of coronavirus and allowed to return to Bhubaneswar.

On March 12, he had arrived at Bhubaneswar in a train.

He suffered from cold and fever. Even after consuming medicines  the flu like symptoms did not go.

On Saturday, he visited Capital Hospital for further consultation.

The doctors attending to him have sent his blood and swab sample to the RMRC, Bhubaneswar.

His family members have also been put under home quarantine.

Sources have confirmed that the passengers of the compartment of the train in which he traveled from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar will undergo scanning.
