19-year-old among 7 Covid-19 deaths in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha sees seven Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department on Thursday taking the death toll to 8,501.

The Covid deaths are 5 from Khordha (including 4 from Bhubaneswar), and one each from Sambalpur and Ganjam districts. 

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of the death audit process:

1.A 84 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.

2.A 64 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

3.A 96 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Parkinsons Disease, Coronary Artery Disease.

4.A 79 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

5.A 45 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

6.A 52 years old Female of Khordha District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

7.A 19 years old Male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Larsen syndrome, post cervical and thoracic vertebral fixation.

The department also said that the list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
