19 students critical after consuming poisonous water in Bargarh of Odisha

Bargarh: As many as 19 students have been hospitalized after drinking poisonous water in Kamgaon College Hostel in the Bargarh district.

Reportedly, all of them were +2 students from Kamgaon College who drank bottles of water at a hostel around 9 pm following which the students suddenly fell ill.

The authorities immediately rushed the students to District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) in a critical condition.

Later they were shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) Burla hospital as their health condition deteriorated.

Other students of the college have alleged that someone has deliberately added something fishy to that water that was consumed.

The actual cause and main accused behind the incident are yet to be ascertained. On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and have initiated a probe into the matter.
