Cuttack: The Odisha CID-Crime Branch on Thursday informed that there were 184 cases of viral videos and images last year.
While giving the annual data of cybercrime in the state, the Crime Branch said that the cybercrime has increased in Odisha. As many as 824 cases were registered in 2017 while it was 317 in 2016 and 385 in 2015.
However, number of the arrested has also increased. It said that total 195 persons were arrested in 2017 against 99 in 2016.
Speaking further, the Crime Branch informed that there were 265 ATM frauds, 206 online frauds, 27 credit card frauds, 19 bank frauds and 7 job frauds in 2017.
