Kandhamal: Daringbadi police seized a driverless truck carrying 18 sacks full of cracking dynamite on Friday night at 10 pm.
As per reports, the police spotted a number-less truck lying idle beside the road near Daberi. On further inspection, the sacks full of cracking dynamite was discovered. No one was spotted near the truck. While the Police have begun a detailed investigation in the matter, the district being Mao-prone some kind of Maoist activity is also being suspected. For what purpose the dynamite was brought in the district is yet to be ascertained.
It is important to note here that cracking dynamite or crackamite is a non-explosive expansive silent cracking agent, is a highly expansive powder composition for stone breaking, granite and marble quarrying, concrete cutting and demolition.
