Athagarh (Cuttack): The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha seized 175 grams of brown sugar and arrested two drug peddlers in Athagarh town of Cuttack district in Odisha on Saturday night.
On the basis of reliable information, a team of STF reportedly detected a case of illegal trade of narcotics drugs in Parijat Hotel situated in Ankula on old Cuttack-Sambalpur road as a result of which the hotel owner, identified as Prakash Sahu, and an employee of the hotel were apprehended.
Brown sugar weighing 175 grams was seized from their possession.
The value of the seized brown sugar is estimated to be around Rs 7 lakhs.
