Bhubaneswar: The Special Squad of Commissionerate Police apprehended three women along with two men and seized 150 kgs of ganja from the Ghatikia area in the capital city of Odisha on Wednesday.
Based on a reliable information, the Special Squad conducted a raid at a rented house in Ghatikia area of Kalinga Nagar and seized the huge amount of ganja. The illegal ganja was being transported to Jharkhand from Jharsuguda.
According to reports, the three women were being used for the transportation of the ganja. The women used to bring the ganja from Jharsuguda to Bhubaneswar. Later they pack the ganja in small packets and transport it to Jharkhand by bus.
The estimated cost of the ganja is said to be more than 10 lakh rupees.
The special squad has initiated a probe into the matter.
