15 snatchers arrested during Rath Yatra in Puri
Puri: As many as 15 snatchers were reportedly arrested by cops during Rath Yatra celebration in Puri on Friday. This was informed by the district police.
The accused persons committed theft by taking the advantage of the huge gathering in the temple city for the Rath Yatra celebration yesterday. However, they were arrested by the alert cops.
According to the official Twitter handle of Puri district police, fifteen snatchers were arrested by the Town, Kumbharpada and Baselisahi Police Stations for committing theft during the annual festival in the temple city yesterday.
All the fifteen accused persons have been forwarded to the court following their arrest and medical examination.

It is to be noted here that the Odisha Police had deployed more than 180 platoons of police personnel, including 1,000 officers of various ranks in and around Puri City for the car festival of Lord Jagannath and his siblings.
