Bhubaneswar: The latest update of the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar, revealed that 15 places reported temperatures 40 degree Celsius or above in Odisha today.
According to the weather department, the highest maximum day temperature of today in the State was recorded at Sonepur as the mercury rose to 43.5 degree Celsius. This was followed by Balagir which witnessed a temperature of 43 degree Celsius.
The 13 other places which boiled with temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above are Angul (42.7), Baripada (41.8), Jharsuguda (42.6), Keonjhar (40.1), Sambalpur (42.2), Sundergarh (42.5), Hirakud (40.3), Talcher (40.4), Bhawanipatna (41.2), Titilagarh (41.5), Nayagarh (40), Boudh (42.5) and Paralakhemundi (41.5).
