1338 students of KISS to appear in +2 exams 2019

70 percent of the girl examinees for plus two are from ‘Saura’ tribe

Bhubaneswar: This year 1338 students of the Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS) will appear in the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education conducted plus two examinations that has been scheduled to begin from March 7. Out of the examinees from KISS, sixty percent are girl students. Out of all the examinees from KISS this year, about sixty percent are from Saura tribe while seventy percent of them are girl students.

KISS always makes it a point to promote girls’ education and hence the number of girl students for plus two examinations is increasing year by year.

Out of the total examinees of KISS for plus two this year sixty percent are girl students. KISS has been propagating girls’ education through ‘Education for All’, ‘Kanya Kiran’ and ‘Art of Giving’. The institute has been incessantly working to propagate girls’ education in the tribal populated districts. And hence the interest in girls’ education has enhanced in these districts.

At present boys constitute sixty percent of the total students of KISS. Ahead of the plus two examinations, founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta wished the examinees for success in the upcoming examinations on Wednesday and distributed them pens. Dr. Samanta has hoped like every year KISS would again achieve cent percent result.
