Khorda: Excise officer of Khorda and flying squad of Cuttack jointly conducted raids at three houses at Mathasahi and Baselisahi of the town today and seized 125 grams of brown sugar and Rs 50,000. Three persons were also arrested during the raid.
The arrested persons have been identified as Kiran Kumar Swain aka Silu (34), son of Kishore Swain, Brundaban Pradhan alias Kalia (34), son of Santana Pradhan and Soumya Ranjan Nayak alias Sankhu (44), son of Niranjan Nayak.
A motor cycle was also recovered from the drug peddlers, whom the police are interrogating to extract more information about the illegal activity.
