12-Foot-Long King Cobra Found In Odisha, Rescued
Mayurbhanj: A 12-foot-long king cobra that was found inside an abandoned well in the Khunta area of Mayurbhanj district in Odisha.
Locals spotted the snake and immediately informed the Forest Department they subsequently rescued the serpent.
News agency ANI shared a video of the showed the venomous snake swimming in the well. It was then captured and released back into the wild.
An image of the serpent has been widely shared on social media. This shows the snake with a snake helpline member while it was being rescued.
“The health of the king cobra was verified and then released into its natural habitat,” a forest officer told ANI.
