Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today informed that 12 districts of Odisha are likely to witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
The Department informed that thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak.
People of these 12 districts have been directed to stay alert and precautionary measures to be safe during the occurrences of the weather disturbances.
Similarly, the weatherman predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower at many places over the districts of South interior Odisha, Gajapati and Ganjam, and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
