Bhubaneswar: Along with the transformation of Schools in the State, steps are also being taken for appointment of teachers. Setting another record, as per the directive of the Chief Minister process has been started for appointment of 11403 teachers in the State.
It is to be noted that recently, 6131 teachers were given appointment in Odisha in a single day.
This year advertisement published on August 13 for appointment of 4619 Hindi, Sanskrit teachers and PETs. Similarly, it was advertised on August 28 for appointment of 6720 TGT Art and Telugu teachers.
Keeping in view the scarcity of teachers, the Examination and recruitment rules have been amended so that maximum number of candidates can be assimilated to the Education sector of the State.
Besides, keeping in view the enhanced numbers of students, 3462 teachers’ posts have also been sanctioned. Now, process has begun for appointment of 11403 teachers’ post that includes filling up the vacant posts as well as the fresh sanctioned posts. The aim is to finish the process of recruitment of these teachers by April 2022.
Recruitment of such a big number of teachers in two phases within four months and initiating process for appointment of another phase of teachers is a proof towards the government’s aim towards the development of Education in the State.
