Malkangiri: In a shocking incident, a 108-ambulance was seen transporting furniture here in Odisha on Tuesday while several death cases were reported in recent past due to failure in arrival of ambulances services in this tribal dominant region.
According to reports, a 108-Ambulance bearing Registration No- OD 02 N 7762 of Kalimela Hospital was used for shifting some furniture from here to Kalimela.
A pharmacist and the ambulance driver were allegedly involved in loading the furniture into the emergency service vehicle.
Such an incident of carriage of furniture in the ambulance has drawn flak from several quarters.
“How could an ambulance, which is generally meant for the seriously ill patients, be used in the transportation of luggage,” said en elderly person with anonymous.
